Lissie's First Post

I like to send cards to my grandchildren because I remember when I was a child how exciting it was to get mail addressed to me. With this in mind I made cards to send to Lily, Gabriel, and Ella. I'm posting Ella's card because it was so much fun to make. Ella loves pink, so much so that her bedroom is pink, pink, pink. This card reflects the colors of her walls.

I used these stamp sets: True Friend and Well Scripted. Colors: Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink. DSP is Razzleberry Lemonade. Using Versamark I added a bit of background to the Melon Mambo paper. Rachael reminded me of the rock and roll method of stamping so I used that to get the two-toned effect on the part I stamped. I found ribbon in Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink and some Pretty in Pink buttons. I love it when accessories are all in the right colors. This was a bit of a happy accident because I knew the card needed something to give it a bit of oomph, and I think the ribbon and buttons did that fairly well. Click on the card to read the sentiment.

Lissie - beautiful card. I love the Melon Mambo Pretty in Pink combo. It's so pretty together. I know Ella will love this card.

You are right, there is something timeless about getting something in the mail addressed to you - oh, and that isn't a bill :-)
