Tea-Riffic Tiny Teacups for PP86

This week's challenge over at the Paper Players is to use the colors Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizazz on a card.

I thoroughly enjoy color challenges, while sketch challenges give me fits.  The moment I saw the colors, I knew what I wanted to create.

I love this Tiny Teacup stamp and have been wanting to play with it for a while (aw, who am I kidding, I've just been wanting to find time to stamp once more, the teacup is just an added bonus) and couldn't wait to get it out and play.  The trick for me was finding a sentiment to go with it.

I had picked up a rather inexpensive set at JoAnn's and thought this sentiment fit the bill.  (Although, I have to put in a plug for SU! and other well respected stamping companies--there is something to be said about quality stamps and the clearness of the image when stamped.)
I popped both the teacups and the paper they're mounted on up on dimensionals.

And (I know it is difficult to see in the top photo), I scored the white base behind the images to balance the card and add interest without adding a ribbon (Brien had challenged me, you see). This card is meant for my Grandfather, and Brien is adamant masculine cards (and gender neutral cards in general) DON'T have ribbon.  Alrighty then, scoring it is. :oP

We've really been struggling with the time change this week so I've not had much of an opportunity to get in and stamp.  I'm glad I had the chance to do it with this card. :o)

It is a cute sentiment for these sweet little tea cups (and I know what you mean about the difference in quality of stamps!!). I think the scoring is a nice touch on the CAS card! Thanks so much for playing with us at the Paper Players this week!

Rach, love the scoring... I really think it adds great dimension and interest to a CAS card. the sentiment is fabulous and I love the fussy cutting of the cups. Fabulous card. I'm so pleased you were able to get back into your offudio and do some stamping!
So glad you joined the Paper Players this week

Love, love, love the simplicity! And Tiny Teacup is one of my favorite little stamps. Such a fun way to make the teacups pop by rotating each of them back and forth. Great choice on the sentiment (and I agree about quality vs cheap when it comes to the crispness of the image). So glad you joined in the fun at The Paper Players!
