When Good Cards Go Bad

Well, it had potential and then it didn't. I wouldn't be posting this except I promised Lissie I would post my ugly card. So, here it is, in all it's awful glory. There's not much to say, really. I tried distressing, it didn't work. Oh, well. Not my style, I guess...

This card uses:
Stamp Sets: "Greeting Card Kids", "Teeny Tiny Wishes"
Paper: watercolor, Blushing Bride, Newsprint DSP
Inks: Black Staz-On, Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Log Cabin Smooch Spritz

We'll give it an A for effort, right? Right?!?

Aw, it's not so bad. It's not nearly as bad as mine! I'll post it soon.

Rach, it's not that bad at all! I like the way you distressed and the image is just too cute. But I did have to laugh because I am going to be posting one of my "uglies" later today or tomorrow!!!! It's kinda like, I look at it once and it's ok. Then I look again and go "UCK"! But I'll post it anyway.

Sometimes it is funny how a card we think is ugly, others don't. I post an ugly on my blog awhile back, stated that it was an ugly and thaat I was so disappointed, because in my head it was going to be beautiful. I posted the same card on SC with no ugly comments from me, it was probley the most commented on card that I have placed on there. I guess we are our own hardest judge.

But the watercoloring is really nice and that friend to friend from TTW is my favorite!

Don't be so hard on yourself! The coloring is beeyootiful.

It is the fleshy toned paper... it needs a brighter background paper. The same exact card with either aqua or red paper would be much better, I think!

Not that I am a stamper or anything. :-) I was just mean in the comments on mom's card above. Equal opportunity harsh judgment from your non-crafty sister!

Please try this card with a red background. I really thin that would make it pop.

PS - My children are so happy for mail that they are excellent recipients of ugly/mistake/reject cards! :-)

Rach, great job with the watercoloring.... and the layout is fabulous. Distressing is tough for me, too.
